He is THREE!

Wow. Three years gone by in a flash. Sometimes it seems hard to even remember that Tyler used to be a baby, that he hasn't always been this funny, opinionated, smart, wheeling and dealing kind of dude. He is hilarious and incredibly frustrating. He changes his mind constantly, then totally sticks to his guns to the point of a tantrum. Out of the blue, Tyler will bring up something that happened a long time ago (like 6 months, even more once in a while) and shock you with his memory and integration of then and now.



Tyler is really starting to get the independent streak of a 3 year old. He wants to do it, by himself...until he decides he doesn't :)

He gives great hugs, shares his toys and snacks, and will pretty much always make room in his race car bed to snuggle with you.

He loves to get dirty outside, pee off the deck, play with his dog, make his sister laugh, watch as much TV as he can weasel out of you and help with anything that seems like a project. And anything that involves trains or cars.



That wheeling and dealing bit? He loves to negotiate. Like you say "five more minutes, then we get in the bath" and he starts negotiating 10 more minutes, then when five is up he will try and negotiate 1 or 2 more. Litigation skills?

He sings his ABC's while washing his hands, takes himself to the bathroom, can undress and mostly dress from the waist down, can put on velcro shoes, knows colors and numbers up to 10 then some mixed up 10-20, lots and lots of animals, and has a great memory for word-for-word reciting his favorite books. Favorites include Curious George, Awesome Man, and Mercer Mayer books.

He mimics everything you say and do. Really. Even if he pulls it out of his hat a month later.
